The department is unique among the Arabic language departments in other colleges by teaching the Akkadian language in three stages. It is no secret that this lesson has historical importance, as it strengthens the connection between the Arabic language and the insular (Semitic) languages, especially the Iraqi languages, so this lesson will be a window into philology and the history of the insular languages.
